long time no see

Hey guys! So wow I just noticed I haven't posted a single thing on my page in over a year and a half!
I am sorry I have been so busy with life that I haven't kept this updated. I love reading past posts because it feels like a home video but I get to see inside my brain. Anyways I know someone somewhere that may read this so I guess I will give you some photos of Lake Tahoe from my vacation back in September 2018.

So this first photo is actually from October when I went hiking in Yosemite with a friend.

Now these photos are from Lake Tahoe.

Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Marissa Meyer has done it again! I received this ARC as a wishlist book on Netgalley and read the ebook version. It took me a little longer than her previous Lunar Chronicles Series to become emotionally invested with the characters but by the end I was sold. The ending left me feeling like I just watched Shutter Island. I highly suggest if you enjoyed her Lunar series or Heartless then you will love her newest novel Renegades. The first 2 questions I had when I finished this book was 1. is it a series? and 2. when will the next book come out. Read it and feel the emotional rollercoaster I am now on.

Love at the Italian Lake by Darcie Boleyn

Sophia is a thirty something year old who needs a change. Finding out her boyfriend of three years has been cheating on her and that she no longer loves the work she does, she sets off to visit her nonna in Italy for the summer. She meets a "Hemsworth" looking man named Joe, who will be staying in the same city for the entire summer as well.

I found this a fun summer read to capture an Italian summer that I felt I could be a part of. It was a realistic story with the main characters both being unsure at times and I found it to be a great story. I enjoyed that Sophia was not always confident and could be awkward at times. She definitely made it an easy story to love.

To Provence, with Love by T.A. Williams

Faye Carter is a Londoner who has self published a book, lost a boyfriend and looking for a fresh start. She gets a job offer to work for an old Hollywood actress who lives in the south of France writing her biography. There she has a great view, new friends and a potential someone.

This was a fun summer read that I enjoyed in one sitting. I figured out the story before it finished but I enjoyed it nonetheless. If you need a light, fun summer read then I highly recommend you pick up this book and take the journey to France with Faye.

An Earl for the Archeress by Elizabeth Watson

Lady Mariel is able to hit the target every time with her bow and arrow. She pretends to be a male and enters tournaments to win money. In the latest tournament she is tied with a a frustrating young Earl. He learns her identity before she even sets her arrow on its target. He is intrigued by this very daring young woman and wants to learn her story.

This was an easy one sitting read for me. I enjoyed the writing style and I felt the story flowed well. I like the character development and both the strong female and male aspect was refreshing. I highly suggest for anyone who like to read historical fictional romance to read this book.

Married in Montana by Jane Porter

This story is about Ellie, who needs to marry a man soon to ensure her fathers ranch is safe. She is very headstrong and won't just choose any person to marry. She needs a strong, smart man who knows how to work hard. Eventually she propositions Thomas to marry her and in exchange he will be wealthy due to her inheritance. Sort of like The Proposal movie about two people who find love in an unexpected way.

I enjoyed this book and did seem the resemblance to the movie The Proposal. It was interesting setting for the story that I haven't read many book there as of yet. I found the characters to be very basic book characters. Brooding, large man who doesn't want to fall in love with strong willed female who can take care of her self. It was a fast read and I finished in one sitting.

The little bed & breakfast by the sea by Jennifer Joyce

A seaside town in England has a very special bed & breakfast. This story follows three unlikely friends: Mae, Willow, and Melody. The perspective changes every chapter and continues with each of their stories moving the entirety of the book. Each of the women have vary different lives and each one is dealing with a different personal issue.

This was a fun summer read set in a cozy English seaside village. In the beginning I did struggle to remember which story I was connecting with the next chapter but eventually I stayed up with the characters stories. It is a light summer read that you can finish in one sitting.
