Homemade Shepherds Pie

I had a case of frozen minced meat and frozen peas but nothing else. So my stepdad brought home potatoes and I made a Shepherds pie out of it. It came out so delicious with a side of peas and lovely HP sauce.

Olympic Party

For the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics our neighbors had a party out on the front lawn. We had a BBQ where me and my mom enjoyed salmon and asparagus before the show began. We are watching as I'm writing this inside our neighbors garage with his projector. Lets the games begin!

Beach Day

For my dads day off he took me to the beach to enjoy the warm California weather. Most of the day it was overcast but it was still surprisingly hot. I did put sunscreen on but by the end of the day I must have missed a bit on the back of my leg because I got sun burnt. Heres a few photos.

Easy Carrot Salad

In a chopper I just put whole carrots, parsley, lemon juice, feta cheese, fresh basil, and Rosemary leaves. This made a beautiful salad that I added a normal olive oil and vinegar dressing to.

Zeppole

Ive been busy filling my summer with cooking shows and today I watched Giada make a zeppole. If you are wondering what it is exactly then I'll tell you its like a doughnut hole that was made in Naples, Italy. Topped with sugar, cinnamon and fresh vanilla from a vanilla bean it came out just delicious!

Cauliflower Curry

Tonight I made a Chicken and Cauliflower Tikki Masala curry with spiced rice. I kind of combined my knowledge of curry and doing vegetarian styled curry to create this delicious curry. It was hot and spicy but calm and tasteful in every bite. I really enjoyed giving my rice some flavor with chicken stock, cumin, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaves. Now I'm in the process of making homemade yogurt.

My Quiche

I normally make delicious quiches' with my Nanny when I'm over in England, but since I'm at home I don't want to lose my memory. Cooking by memory or by accident is way more enjoyable then by paper. So here is how my quiche filled with eggs, milk, mexican cheese blend, feta, bell peppers, tomatoes, and basil ended.

Farmers Market

Some of the last days at Pismo were spent hanging out with my family but now one day we enjoyed a farmers market. Who knew San Luis Obispo had such an amazing culture! I loved my cousins belgian fries with cajun spice on them and my belgian waffle that tasted amazing! I hope you like the photos.

Hearst Castle

When we got up to Pismo the whole family had decided that going up to Hearst Castle was a must. I decided it was a perfect time to take some photos of this AMAZING house! Enjoy

Big Bear Week

For the Fourth of July week I got to join my Aunt and three little cousins to their Big Bear cabin. It was oodles of fun making pizzas, watching the fireworks and enjoying the town in good weather. Only one day did it rain for all of 20 minutes and the rest of the time was fine.

Bringing her dog Nahla with was fun except for the farts she had in the car. Then paddle boarding with some neighbors was one of the hits for the weekend. We missed my Uncle at the cabin but spoke to him almost every day with the iPads. Then for a surprise I made my family a special home cooked meal that was a bit harder in the higher altitude but everyone still loved it. Best week ever!
